Things aren't quite as bleak as Pedro makes out. For a detailed discussion of the D70 and raw files see the D70 review at http://www.dpreview.com.

None of the problems mentioned in this editorial exist in the world of film photography! Film is available all over the world and is compatible with all cameras regardless of age. No need to spend thousands of dollars for equipment that will not give you print quality any better than a hundred dollar point and shoot. Last year, ten million film cameras were sold. film will be around for a very long time. It will always be a beautiful medium to work with.

Adobe has released just a few days ago a new Camera Raw plugin v2.2 which includes full RAW file compatibility with the Nikon D70.
