I fully agree with Pedro Meyer regarding the hazards your digital pictures go through in the modern era. But I disagree to the photographers who still use the film camera to avoid these problems.

I would rather suggest that all of us unite and think of solving the
problems in a sensible way.

Watermarks are a viable help in the issue of copyrights. Just like other media-music and print, it does not stop copying, but it announces your intent to take action if an occasion is discovered. One of the several editing programs I use, Picture Publisher (Corel owns this now)has the Watermark software and for a small fee one can "register" images. You can select how obvious you want the watermark to be in the image.I am sure other software offers this service as well. Of course ethical behavior on the part of purchasers is required for this to work.

Pedro- I admire this website so much. I always find images that "knock my socks off."
