Anibal
Angulo,
One of Mexico's more adventurous photographers who
back in the seventies was already very active in providing
the photographic community with a vision of what it
really meant to explore techniques in the darkroom
in order to break out of the boundaries imposed by
the traditional chemical process. Mixing and splashing
his chemicals with light he would inundate with new
meaning the nude imagery he would then print on all
sorts of papers and materials that came his way. Anibal
never ceased to explore the possibilities of his photographic
adventures, on the contrary as the digital age came
into being, his imagery took on new meanings and a
new directions, blending his long standing interests
with the new tools with which to bring forth his artistic
vision.
The electronic book FOTOGRAFIAS by Anibal Angulo,
represents one more step in the direction of bringing
the work of this unique photographer to the attention
of a world wide audience.

successive, accumulated, somehow desperate to come
out, to come to light, to life, to representation,
always...
