She is surrounded by children's stuff, a wedding picture, some
empty boxes. Vulnerable in her childlishness. She hankers for
protection and peace.

Ruiters oeuvre focuses on the interplay between history, historical
events and associative thinking. There are no straigthforward
interpretations, in spite of the straightforward appearance of
the works. One has to approach the images willing and determinend
to contemplate them. If not, we are left with nothing but their
beauty.

En el ático está sentada Juliette, robusta y voluptuosa,
con una muñeca entre los brazos. A su alrededor hay objetos
infantiles, una fotografía de boda, algunas cajas vacias.
Es vulnerable en su forma infantil de ser. Anhela la paz y la
protección.

la historia, los eventos históricos y el pensamiento asociativo.
No existen interpretaciones fáciles, a pesar de la apariencia
sencilla de los trabajos. Uno se tiene que aproximar a las imágenes
con la voluntad y determinación para contemplarlas. De
otro modo, no quedaría más que su belleza.
