As you may well know, Mexico City is completely paralyzed due to the outbreak of the new influenza virus. The World Health Organizations has raised to 5 the global alert level, and many countries are already taking preventive meassures, and many others already have an important number of confirmed cases.
We would like to ask all of you to share with us what is happening in your cities regarding this unprecedented situation. We think that the best we can do in difficult times is to feel a sense of togetherness with our communities, and to express ourselves creatively.

Como bien saben, la ciudad de México está paralizada a raíz de la influenza. La Organización Mundial de la Salud ha elevado a nivel 5 la alerta mundial y muchos países están ya tomando medidas preventivas, y en algunos casos también ya hay un número importante de contagiados.
Quisiéramos pedirles que nos manden imágenes de lo que está pasando en sus ciudades. Ante tiempos difíciles como estos, no hay nada mejor que sentirnos unidos y darle rienda suelta a nuestra creatividad.

REQUIREMENTS:
1. Images
must have the following format:
- A 72
dpi resolution.
- 800 pixels
maximum wide or length.
- Compressed
in JPEG format, in quality 8 at most.
- Also
include a small version (thumbnail) of only one of the images, 100 pixels
maximum wide or length for the index.
2. Include
the following information:
- Author´s
name.
- Country.
- Place
where the image was shot.
- Some
other reference that the photographer considers useful to value the
image (40 words maximum).
3. Send
pictures to the following address, from May 1st. to 15st. 2009 to:

can be black&white or color .
5. Do not
send images that contain legends (right reserved, signature of author, copyright, etc.), these will not be published.
6. If you do not have any photographs, you can send your comment on this matter up to 200 words.
7. You can also send a photo-composition that you make to illustrate this subject.

una de las imágenes, a 100 pixeles máximo de ancho o de

- Nombre
del autor.
- País.
- Lugar
en donde estan tomadas la imágenes.
- Alguna
otra referencia que el fotógrafo considere útil para valorar
la imagen (máximo 40 palabras).

Enviar las fotografias a la siguiente dirección, del 1o. al 15
de Mayo de 2009:

Las fotografias pueden ser en blanco y negro o color.
5.
No enviar imágenes que contengan leyendas escritas sobre la imagen
(derechos reservados, firma de autor, copyright, etc.), ya que no serán
publicadas
6. Si no cuentas con fotografías, puedes enviar únicamente texto alusivo al tema, de hasta 200 palabras.
7. Puedes enviar también alguna composición o edición fotográfica que tu mismo hagas para ilustrar este tema.
