CLAUDIO
used to say that the ends determined the means,
and he was always a confident guy. He was a student leader, but
exercised his leadership in a reserved fashion.
One day, when the fascists came to the door of the School,
he confronted them with his fists, and they split his head open.
His weapons were always smaller caliber,
until they killed him.
Claudio is a bit out of focus in this picture
of a camping trip.
School camping trips in the summer in the southern Andes
were a school of life.
Intimacy with friends, open hearts,
songs, walks, space to be discovered:
everything was possible.
