Women from Clay - Marcela Taboada

In a male driven society, husbands and sons must be able to support their wives and mothers realistically and be proudly present in their homes: this can be done only when there is a labor source in their native village.

Almost all the strong men have left and gone far away to the other side of the northern border, where they will try to earn a few dollars picking fruit in Florida or some other state of the USA. Their worn out grandparents, their restless children and newborn babies remained to be looked after at home.

When the father comes back for a few months, he will be able to see the child that he never got to know.
