Struggle for a normal life - Somali refugees in Italy
ITALY. Florence, 21st July 2009. A Somali refugee studies Italian language inside the "Kulanka" building. "Kulanka" (assembly in Somali language) is a former warehouse near the railways, occupied in 2008 by a group of Somali refugees together with an association that helps people without home. In 2009, according to a deal signed with the city mayor, the building has been loan for free temporary use to an association of Somali refugees.
